This is the second book in her Duke of Rutland series.Ms. Michel tackles a very interesting discovery in her new book. She weaves together actual historical facts with true to life fictional characters. The story entwines two lonely very intellectual young people. I love that the hero and heroine in Light of My Heart bond over their love of science. Lord Anthony and Rachel are both into electricity and it isn't long before sparks fly between the two very likable leads. Add an element of danger, lots of chemistry, and this one's a winner.

Elizabeth St. Michel is a new author for me, this is the first of her books that I have read. Light of My Heart is a fun sexy read with great lead characters. Rachel is a "colonial" who's come to England to escape from a near tragedy. Anthony is the Duke of Rutland...both are inventors and love science. It's fun to see these two wrestling with the discovery of electricity while trying to deal with the attraction between them. But this book is romantic suspense, so we have some great bad guys
