Commentary During Books Alec (Slater Brothers #2)
Keela Daley is the black sheep of her family. She has always come second to her younger cousin Micah. Even in the eyes of her mother, Micah shone bright, and Keela faded to black. Now, in adulthood, Micah is a bride-to-be and the spotlight is solely on her. Keela is a low priority...or so she thinks.Alec Slater is a bachelor, never one to bed the same woman, or man, twice. He is a free agent who does what he pleases and answers to no one; that is until a fiery Irish redhead with a temper to match her hair colour knocks him on his arse. Literally.
She hates to admit it, but Keela needs a favour from the cocky Slater brother, a huge favour. She needs him to not only escort her to Micah's wedding, but to also pose as her boyfriend. Alec agrees to help Keela, but has certain conditions for her to abide by. He wants her body and plans to have it before anyone can say I do.
What he doesn't plan on is losing his heart as well as the possibility of losing his family when someone from his past threatens his future.
Alec owns Keela, and what Alec owns, Alec keeps.

1.5 - 2 StarsI read this a while ago, and I'm still upset about that awful scene.Alec was one of my favourites, I really loved him but that scene ruined this whole book for me. I still like him in Aideen but (he's somewhat soured in my mind now) and I find it hard to believe that he and his brothers could not think of one single way to get out of that situation without him having to do it. Sorry, but between the lot of them they could've come up with something. The fact that they let Keela beHoly shit!!!This cover is a killer! Hat,hair,tie,tattoo,underwear...
I was looking forward to this book, but I am kinda bummed after reading it. Don't get me wrong- it's not a bad book at all, but some things just didn't sit right with me. I look forward to the next installment of the Slater Brothers though...hopefully a Kane and Aideen story...*crossing my fingers*Just an FYI, there is a f/m/m scene in this book that I wasn't expecting... (mainly due to the fact that the author said "No menage storyline, don't worry ;) "- so this is schemantics- storyline: No,

I am so pissed, annoyed, and disgusted right now! I want to start by saying I loved Dominic LOVED it!! I just got back from visiting Ireland last year and I loved the people and the beautiful country. So when I come back and I come across this Irish author who writes in a way I love I'm super excited. I loved the alpha brothers, I loved everyone's smart mouths and cursing, I loved all fighting! It reminded me so much of my friends and I immediately started passing the word on how great Dominic
I noticed with this book and the first that the author needs to keep defending her work and justify it. Here's a thought: get some good honest beta readers and maybe that won't be necessary. As for me I'll def never read the rest of the series.
Books are supposed to expand your world; expose you to people, places, emotions, and ideas you might not otherwise experience. Suggesting that you need training wheels for such a thing is like suggesting that a child needs training wheels to walk. Youve just got to do it. Good fiction is supposed to hold the mirror up to reality, regardless of the genreand reality does not have training wheels. - Lauren Sarner ALEC IS LIVE ON AMAZON! AMAZON US AMAZON UK ^^ This can't be taken two ways. Oh.
☆ I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!! ☆5 "Playboy-Kitten" stars!!☆☆☆☆☆ Ive only known you a few days and you have already made an impression on me. Nobody has ever made an impression on me. Youve worked your way under my skin and youve down this by pissing me off. Alec Slater#I cant believe Im going to say this butHell, ALEC is by far my FAVORITE book from the Slater Brother Series!! And that banter between Aideen and Storm was frickin' hilarious!!#✓
