Narration To Books Dante's Divine Comedy: Inferno
The Inferno is by far the most popular and well-known of the books in the Divine Comedy trilogy because of its depiction and understanding of the moral and spiritual pitfalls which still plague us today. This beautifully presented edition is illustrated with astonishing artworks, from Hieronymus Bosch's depictions of a surreal, hellish landscapes and other Renaissance visions of the Last Judgement, to Gustave Doré's intricate engravings of the pilgrim's spiritual travails.

fantastic aid in the research for a novel I'm writing, I love the poem and the paintings...Fantastic, though would be very difficult to read without the précis for each canto. I wonder who would replace Judus, Cassius and Brutus being chewed forever in Lucifer's 3 mouths in Judecca, in a current rewriting?honestly I have read both Dante's divine comedy:inferno both in English and it's original format Italian.and from the general gist of what I have gotten, Dante's inferno is the first part of his 14th century poem about Dante's journey through hell to save his beloved Beatrice, now in most versions. It is Virgil a roman poet who guides Dante through hell, and in others it is Beatrice who guides him because in life Virgil was a pagan and according to religious believes at that time Pagan's were
