Explanation In Favor Of Books Springvloed (Rönning & Stilton #1)

Cilla and Rolf Borjlind are an established crime-writing partnership, with their television credits including the twenty-six Martin Beck films based on the hugely influential Sjowall/Wahloo books, the Swedish adaptation of Wallander and the Arne Dahl Intercrime series, recently broadcast on BBC4. So with this pedigree of screen-writing how did Spring Tide measure up?Opening with the unsettling murder of a young pregnant woman at the time of the spring tide, twenty-four years previously and nowI won this books form GoodReads First Reads and I'm really glad I did. It's a beautifully written book, well thought out and tense with fantastic twists! Worth the read for certain and I would highly recommend it!Loved it..... more in depth review to come shortly!
A solid 3.5The starting scene is so strong, it immediately pulls you in and you think that it can only get better from there... well... not really. After the first mini chapter you are drowned (pun intended) by around ~120ish pages of mostly filler. Unimportant characters that you've no reason to care about and it's pretty clear they will never become important or used later in the book. The important parts in those 120 pages are far between and take a very long time until their paths finally

I hated it.
It was quite an entertaining read, even though this book felt more like a suspense story than a thriller. The characters were realistic, facing their obstacles in a "human" way. There were quite a few unexpected twists, definitely during the climax. There were a few things that bothered me, one of them was the amount of different characters and therefore different POV. Personally it slowed down the pace of the story, since nearly all characters were written in quite a detailed way which I
This moves along at a decent clip; the writing is quite competent but pedestrian. I'm not generally clever at solving a mystery before the end but I saw the end of this coming from a mile away. The jacket says the writers are well-known scriptwriters and it shows: you can see the episodes taking shape with a little twist or denouement at the end of each. Not a bad book if you have nothing else better on hand.
There is this guy called Jelle and its really late so my brain starts playing the song Jell-o by Ariel Pink. Kill me? ...her mother had embraced the Scandinavian way of decorating a home. So her home looks like an IKEA catalog? His days on twitter were over. Apparently they turned this shit into a tv show. May be out, may not. I dont fucking care. If you like cime/mystery shows look it up I guess. The book was ok. Im not going to continue the series tho *I came to the conclusion that I dont
