Narration To Books Coins in the Coffee Cup
Harrison Healy is a seventeen-year-old boy with a side of depression. Not a seventeen-year-old boy with depression. With his parents dead, his sister gone and a best friend who committed suicide from an overwhelming flood of sadness - he’s doing okay. Now, he’s just stuck with two people who can’t stand the sight of him and five friends who try to make his life a little better. While stumping through his every day average-depressed-gay-kid-teen-life in his final senior year, he discovers EVAN, a bright-eyed, bright smiled senior who is trapped in the world around him.
Over the course of his final school year, Harry experiences his first love, his first kiss; he finds the stars, loses his mind, very nearly loses himself along the way. He finds out horrific news, he sees what can’t be unseen and he is faced with the challenge of trying to find a way to be okay.
Harrison deals with the loss of everyone he has loved. As he tries to get out of his head and into the real world, he attempts to participate in life instead of watching it fly by.

Coins In The Coffee Cup has been one of my favourite stories of all the LGBTQ+ YA novels I've read. The author has done a really beautiful job for her first book and I'm really excited for her future releases. Any book that can break a reader's heart is a book well writtenAbsolutely lovely novel! The relationship between Harrison and Evan is outstanding... I cannot wait for more.

I can't believe how much this made me cry. I felt everything. From laughter to tears. Thank you for this novel.
Harrison is depressed. It isn't very surprising considering his parents are dead, his sister was taken away from him, his best friend killed himself and his foster parents are abusing him. But he is doing okay. He has gotten good at just existing; counting down the days until his high school graduation. Maybe then things will change. No more high school, no more small town Minnesota and no more Holly and Brad. But that all changes when he runs into Evan at a party. Technically, Evan runs into
Amazing doesn't even begin to cover this book. From the very start, you're intrigued by Harry, his personality, his forwardness and simply him as a character. The more you read, the more attached you become to who Harry is, his life, his memories, his sadness, his happiness. You begin to feel like his experiences are yours and you just understand why he is the way he is.You meet his friends, get introduced to his life in bits and it only draws you in more. The way the author has combined words
