Innecesariamente largo, predecible y con personajes poco memorables. El planteamiento general del libro como ficción trágica del horror (grotesco) es inicialmente interesante, aunque después desaparece entre una inmensa banalidad de cotilleos, chismes, metáforas cursis y estupideces noveleras propias de las cortes aristócratas.
