Staff Sergeant Corey Yarwood is an instructor at the Basic Reconnaissance Course. His last deployment ended in horror, but he can’t remember those events. Battling severe PTSD, Corey’s drinking is growing out of control.

Sean Chandler walks into a dive bar, and into Corey’s life. An actor and a musician, Sean has the empathy and compassion to sooth Corey’s pain, and the strength to support him as he struggles to heal.

Corey’s lost memories are pivotal to a civilian murder, and a military investigation. Remembering could mean salvation, or destruction. Will the truth be too much for Sean to handle?

Piece Out Of Books The Final Line (The Recon Diaries #3)
Okay, I just have to start off by saying, I love this author. No joke. She is amazing with military stories. Now that I have that out of the way I can start talking about this book. Where to start... It's the final in the series... Sad, I know. I'm almost in tears. I loved these characters and Corey just broke my heart here. I never expected to love this book as much as the other two, Kellan and Jonah are just hot and everything else I love in two guys. But Corey and Sean were just so sweet and

Well, my first book from this author and I'm not sure what to think: I liked it but didn't love it. Also the love scenes didn't work for me so I ended up skipping most of them. Most of the book was a flat line for me, without any ups or downs and considering heroes with PTSD are amongst my favorites, I expected something more. Still, I did come to care for the main MC and my emotional investment is the reasons this gets a higher rating than just "OK".

This was such an amazing story. I know I've said it before in my other reviews of the author's work but McKenna does an fabulous job with delivering an authentic military feel in her books and I love it, they're jargon heavy and we learn a lot about how the military works but it never feels like an infodrop. I really enjoy Kellan and Jonah from the previous two books but this is my favorite of the series so far. Corey's PTSD and the unclear story about what happened to him and his men overseas

This books release day is today, July 4, Americas Independance Day and fittingly this story is all about a man who has contributed above an beyond to the freedom that we all enjoy, and about the very personal price some of our soldiers pay. This is the third in the Recon Diaries series and I mention that straight up because even though I have read the other two, and they do introduce Corey briefly, you can read this as a stand alone book and receive the full enjoyment and impact that The Final

Re-read November, 2015: Thanksgiving comfort read. Fucking LOVE this book! READ IT people! If I could give this book 6 stars, I most certainly would! August 2013 edit: Even though it hasn't even been a month yet, I re-read this again this weekend. Loved it even more! The ending is what stuck out to me this time. It was so incredibly perfect. While I would gobble up a sequel if one were written, I don't think I'd be disappointed if one weren't. I'll sing it from the rooftops. This book is

God, this is one of the best miltary stories i EVER read. straight to my favourites. i loved the complexity, the emotions, combat parts, Corey's struggles and insecurities and finally the calming presence of Sean. it was absolutely awesome.

Just awesome. I loved this book. Very rarely do I read a #3 that is better than the first two. Do not get me wrong I loved the first two as well. This was a great story that felt real and the love story felt complete. A truly solid HEA.
